On October 19th, my Sports Med class went to a PSP3 place. The purpose of a PSP3 is to help high school athletes train their bodies to grow stronger, improve in their specific sport, stay healthy, and prepare for playing college sports. We meet with the instructor and he made us do a long warm-up that was killing my legs.

Then he explains that every athlete that they help might have the same problem but they each require different ways to fix it. For example, if an athlete came there cause their leg felt sore after running, the instructor would have to ask them questions to determine the cause and the solution. The questions might be: when did this start happening, did you stretch before you run, how long do you run each day, and so on.

Finally, near the end, he gave us his thoughts on different types of medical fields similar to his and what his education looked like to get where he is now. I enjoyed learning about his profession and how it can be useful even for people that don't play a sport and how other professions like his do some of the same and some different things from him. On the other hand, my legs were sore for a week and a half, but the experience was worth it.
