This semester has been a fun one so far. I enjoyed the communications lab day, going around and practicing my communication skills was very helpful. It also taught me how important it is for medical professionals to be empathetic to patients and their families when bearing bad news. I'm very excited to go to the KU Edwards Exercise Science place tomorrow; I have no idea what we're doing, but I'm excited no less. Going on field trips is always fun.
Lately, I've been having trouble with the special tests. I find it confusing when I try to do them and on top of that knowing what each special test tests. I need to practice it more and ask my teacher to help me. Something that I have improved on is memorizing and understanding med terms. I have learned how to pronounce the words the med terms create and also how to decipher the meaning.
I need to put myself out more and be more of a help to my team. I need to give 100% to communicating with others to help them and help me. I need to build this skill because it is essential for college and in life. I have had a lot of fun in this class and this experience is one that I won't forget or regret.
